From Passion to Pastry

Welcome to the world of Bisou

Our journey began in 2006, in a small 400 sq. ft. shop in West Vancouver. It was just us – five close friends with a shared dream. We wanted to do more than bake; we wanted to use our pastries as a canvas to tell stories, evoke nostalgic aromas, and inspire with impeccable flavors. With a passion for artistry and craftsmanship, we created Bisou Bakehouse. What started as a humble shop soon became a cherished name in the community. Our authentic, French-inspired pastries won over the hearts of those who walked through our doors. We believe that each pastry we make carries with it a piece of our journey, from our hands to your table.

Artistry Meets Quality

At Bisou Bakehouse, we craft every product with the finest locally and internationally sourced ingredients, prioritizing premium and organic materials.
Blending tradition with innovation, we use French techniques to bake fresh daily.
From buttery croissants to delicate macarons, our goal is to inspire and delight with every bite.

Our Collaborations

Since 2014, Bisou Bakehouse has proudly partnered with Vancouver’s luxury hotels, including Fairmont properties and Hotel Georgia.
In 2021, we expanded through DNATA, supplying premium pastries to airlines like Turkish, Indian, and Emirates.
Soon, our creations will be featured at Disneyland, sharing our passion for quality with guests on the ground and in the sky.

I visited couple of days ago. There is many kind of pastries that looks so beautiful. Staffs are very friendly. I bought some of croissants and danish it's really good. Especially tiramisu was amazing! I wanted taste it because it just came up from kitchen and looked so fresh. The taste was fantastic 😋 I would love to visit again next time.

Very delish and unique style of pastry. I really liked the cornflakes roll and the shoe horn.

A fantastic little pastry shop off Pemberton Ave. The pastries were super buttery and flavorful. I really love the tiramasu as it's made with real lady fingers. It was so good I had to buy another one. Adriana was friendly and helped us pick our food. Inside there is also a lot of samples as well.

I finally got the chance to go to Bisou and I hate that I waited that long, while at the same time, my eyes get some much bigger than my stomach when I'm there. I got the pain du chocola, raspberry Danish, and the pistachio, cinnamon roll. Everything was delicious and fresh (I went in evening). The staff member who was there helped detail everything that was available (because I wanted everything) and was easily a highlight of the visit. Great compliment to the pastries. Loved it, I will be back although I'm try and make not too often.

A good coffee shop with delightful brews. Service here is a perfect blend of efficiency and warmth. The barista, Elnaz, is the best, crafting drinks that are incredibly good. Top-notch service in a friendly setting.

Lovely neighbourhood bakery. The pastries are light, crisp, and very tasty. Everything we tried was excellent. A variety of cakes and pastries and breads. Service was good and everything was surprisingly reasonably priced. Will definitely visit again. Parking was plentiful. Located off Pemberton behind the Cactus Club.

Amazing coffee, delicious pastry and super friendly environment. I tried their Pistachio Danish and it was Fab! Definitely recommend to stop by and try.

Very nice staff. We had to visit again to try both the savoury and sweet pastries. All of them were excellent. A must try place in North Vancouver.

Beautiful baked goods and incredibly helpful staff. I rang to see if they still had croissants left for Christmas but they’d all sold out for those baked that morning. Instead they offered either frozen ones I could bake with instructions or for them to bake the dozen we needed fresh. They were ready exactly when they said they would be and are the best I’ve found in Vancouver after 9 years searching. Thank you so much to the Bisou team for saving a Christmas Day tradition.

Bisou Café in North Vancouver offers a delightful dining experience with its cozy atmosphere and top-notch service. The menu is a well-curated mix of fresh and flavorful dishes, perfect for breakfast or brunch. I tried the Benny and Charlie Bowl, both of which were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The staff were attentive and friendly, going the extra mile to make the experience memorable. As a bonus, they surprised us with complimentary coffee and juice, adding a personal touch to our visit. With fair pricing and great attention to detail, Bisou Café is a gem worth revisiting. Highly recommended!

I saw their Instagram and have been waiting to try their pastries. Today, I was so happy to have found time to come here. They offered me samples of their cakes and other pastries. The staff was friendly and everything looked like it just came out of the oven. I tried their Black Forest Cake and it was better than all the ones I have tried at other bakeries. The size was double what you get elsewhere. I love the layering within the fluffy dark chocolate, cherries, and cream, well balanced and not too sweet. The Spinach Feta Strudel was very rich in flavor and very delicious. Unfortunately, the mini almond croissant didn't make a good impression on me. If you like to satisfy your sweet tooth, this is the place to go!

Definitely recommended. The pastries are so fresh and tasty, it doesn’t matter what time of the it is, you still can feel how fresh the ingredients are. I am not so sure abut the name of the pastries we tried but they all worth it. The staff were super friendly, helpful and nice. They have good playlist every time we go there, you won’t be disappointed. The cappuccino and the caramel latte was great, and they have parking. They have daily fresh soup and bread as well.

I admire the creativity and skill of artists who work in fine bakeries producing treats that few people could come close to duplicating in home kitchens. This was my first visit to Bisou Bakery but I will return. There was a fine selection of products. Like other places that sell high-quality goods, Bisou's offerings are not inexpensive. The location is convenient because street parking is readily available. Service was faultless.

Excellent quality of pastries and croissants. I suggest starting at 8:30 so that we can buy our coffee and pastries before starting work. During my wait for opening, I saw that several customers were disappointed to buy!

Whether you want to quench your own craving for superior pastries, or you're on your way to a visit and want to sweeten your arrival...you can't go wrong here. The taste, the quality and the patisserie standard you will experience as soon as you walk in. I did. I mean that Pistachio Puff Cream coated in chocolate.....genius.

I visited Bisou once, and now I go every week. The pastry is so fresh, delicious, and with right amount of sweetness. Coffee is good. They also sell packed cookies and macarons, which I love. The staff are all so polite, nice with prompt service. A must visit in north shore.

Located just off marine and pemberton in north van. There is parking in the front but only a few spots. Ordered an americano and flat white. Great service and really good coffee. We were there a few minutes before open not knowing and the barista was kind enough to let us in 3 min before open instead of making us wait.

Bisou Bakery is an absolute gem! The flavors are out of this world—every bite is rich, perfectly balanced, and you can tell they use high-quality ingredients. I tried their almond croissant, and wow, the layers were buttery and flaky, with a delicate crunch on the outside and a soft, melt-in-your-mouth texture inside. The filling was smooth and not overly sweet, just the right amount of indulgence. Everything here feels handcrafted with care. I'll definitely be coming back for more!

We stopped by to pickup some dessert for a BBQ we were going to over some friend's place. They have such beautiful looking desserts. They had tiramisu in containers big enough for 2 people, some mousses, various types of delicious looking pastries and many other items. We decided on 2 Blood Orange Mousses that looked like an orange and 2 Chocolate Mousses which looked like tiny chocolate cakes. The detail work on them was incredible! We also got a Chocolate Bun for our son as he loves them! After some burgers we split each mouses up so each person could try half of each. I enjoyed both of them as did my wife but she preferred the Blood Orange Mousse. It had a nice jelly shape in the center of the orange. If you want some pretty and delicious desserts, pastries, breads or other baked goods this is your place!
